Looking for accessible materials

I was wondering if any accessible materials in the field of psychology can be found on the net, that explain and help with certain psychological conditions, like dealing with trauma and shock, fobias, pathological lieing and other similar topics? I was always interested to learn more about this, as I encounter different people and situations every day and feel I should do my best to help them when I can and as much as I can. Thank you in advance for your responses.

I don't know of anything specifically, but you can try searching on some terms with Google. I like learning about psychology as well as other medical topics, and when I think of something interesting I would like to know about, I'll look up a word or several words separated by commas, if I want to be more specific. I usually find pretty interesting information, and plus, for the pages that are not easily accessible (such as PDF or PowerPoint files), Google turns them into HTML files which really helps make them easier to read. *smile* I know this is pretty general, abut I can't think of a single specific website that could be useful for psychology subjects other than Google. *smile*

Adriana, go to www.blindworld.net. There is a section about medical updates. You might find something helpful.

What about webmd.com? I don't know if it covers psychological topics, but it might be worth a try.
Also, if you use the talking book program, try findout out if there are any books on tape available on subjects that interest you.
